How do you try to understand the conscious life we live? Does it begin with disregarding the bullshit that is shown on TV or sheltering yourself from Hollywood movies? I found that embarking on a mission can strengthen our mind and will remind us that we can withstand anything that might hinder our mind.
We can all look into Nature to find an answer and use it to turn our pessimistic thoughts into something more optimistic for the future. Recently, I embarked on a multi-day trip to explore a few Central Californian areas. Those couple of days spent exploring the desolate coastline created bliss within my hectic life.
My friend and I are two individuals that grew up in the same town; empowered by the inspirational characters before our generation. We were brought up within a coastal community; engaging in a world of wonder and beauty. Despite sharing an near-identical childhood, we never connected as friends until 19 years of age. There is something to say about your hometown upbringing. It shapes and forms our beliefs in life, but the social community plays an important impression on the soul.
Those years of growth and soul defining moments in life had an impact on our life goals. We found it our passion to gain happiness through the art of surfing, the sounds of nature becoming candy for our ears, and the appreciation for the gift of life. Both of us have connected as friends later in our lively journey to try and understand the importance of putting ourselves in an environment that can technically makes us uncomfortable. We are self-abused with society and their media crazed drama. How unnatural is the world we live in? So, it’s important at times to step away from all relations in life to eventually appreciate or reconnect with the act of loving the things we usually take for granted.
